The primary challenge was to design a solution that could replace the ubiquitous paper business cards, minimizing environmental impact while preserving the personal touch and professionalism of networking.
Bumpy required a system that allowed users to create and customize digital business cards with instant previews. The interface needed to be intuitive and responsive to various customization options.
Handling potentially large amounts of user data, while maintaining fast retrieval and storage times, required a robust backend solution capable of scaling as the user base grows.
Ensuring a seamless, native-like experience on both iOS and Android was critical. The app needed to function flawlessly across devices, providing users with a consistent interface and performance.
Given the sensitive nature of the information shared through digital business cards, implementing strong security protocols to protect user data was imperative.
Our team developed Bumpy using Flutter for a unified UI/UX on both iOS and Android platforms, ensuring a consistent experience across all devices. The backend was built with Node.js to handle requests efficiently, coupled with MongoDB for robust data management.

The backend was built using Node.js, providing an efficient, event-driven architecture. MongoDB was integrated for its ability to handle large volumes of data and ensure fast data retrieval. AWS was selected as the cloud infrastructure to provide a scalable, reliable environment.
